- Luka Jovic (Real Madrid)
We all remember Luka Jovic from his prolific spell at Frankfurt, scoring 17 goals in the Bundesliga during the 2018/2019.
But all of a sudden the same goal-scoring machine seems to have suffered a downturn at Real Madrid, who he joined in a much-celebrated £52m transfer in the summer of 2019, having scored a total of 5 goals in 43 appearances.
People say it’s the manager or the hierarchy at Madrid that is responsible, after all, Eden Hazard as well has become a Dembele.
But using Jovic on FM20 has shown me that he is a one-season wonder. I used him in my first season at Los Blancos as a lone striker and he scored a paltry one goal in seven matches playing as an Advanced Forward.
Then, I tried to switch my tactics to fit him by playing a three-man striker system but still nothing.
He scored six goals for me between August and January, a total of 18 games and by January he was gone as I sold him to Chelsea who I am pretty certain now regret the transfer because he has an average rating of 6.72 for the Blues.
- Erling Haaland (Dortmund)
For starters, he is a very wasteful striker, with an average of 49% shot on target and tends to miss so many clear cut chances in a match. So if you use the Norwegian, you will agree with me on that.
Now, this has been confirmed in three saves at three different clubs that he loses his goal-scoring form and vibe mid-season, it could be a bug or just his nature, who knows?
- Alphonso Davies (Bayern)
He is the worst player you can sign on FM20. He is defensively and offensively poor, just his speed helps him out.
I signed him based on a recommendation and I have never been so frustrated that I had to isolate him out of my team.
So, please, FM fans I beg you never ever buy Alphonso not even if a gun is pointed to your head.
