Dear Djs, just take a seat, lets talk about you and your career.
We both know that you have passion for this job, but if the passion is not being differentiated then you’re not different from the next man.
Why would all your works a.k.a Mixtape be based on trendy songs? Are you trying to gain popularity or quick fans by doing that??
As a Dj, I believe you must be ahead of us in music, you should be mixing songs together in a way that will blow us away, so why have you make it about popular songs alone?
I’m not a Dj but as a Music Enthusiast I know what I want and I surely know what some people want.
So without further ado, this are 4 things I know you’re doing wrong as an upcoming star Dj;
1.) You always name your work/mixtape with the title of a trendy song. For example, soapy mixtape, Am I a yahoo boy mixtape, Why? Like why seriously?
Be creative, don’t follow trends simply because others are doing it, think different. 💡
2.) When you take a pic/artwork for your Mixtape, please and please, stop carrying that Mini turn table on your head. It doesn’t make you look like a pro. Over 300 people have done that already. Try to change your position, be stylish… Please 🙏🏼
3.) Stop asking artiste to ping you.. So they can be on your mixtape, even if you will, do it with class. Stop acting like its your mixtape that will make way for them.
You are also searching for a way to make it in life 💁🏽♂… Create a reputation where artiste comes to you willingly without noise!!!
4.) Shaku Shaku sound cannot sustain you. Honestly I don’t have anything against this type of music, infact I know shaku shaku shuts down the dance floor at parties, once u hear “tun dun dun ti dun, tun dun dun dun DUN!! ” u no fire 💃 will happen.
But Mr. Dj, don’t limit yourself to it, it’s really tempting but don’t. After sometime, it will fade away and u might just fade with it. Think 🤔
