The controversy between the South African Rapper AKA and Nigeria’s finest Rapper Burna Boy, has taken another turn, following a tweet from Burna Boy saying he will be visiting South Africa for the #Africaunite show, but AKA is demanding an apology before Burna can step foot on South Africa soil.
The rancour between the duo all started during the xenophobic attacks carried out on Nigerians and other African people in South Africa, as Burna Boy couldn’t hold back his feelings, and had tweeted never to step foot in South Africa.
Following a recent development, in which, the #Africaunite concert, which is organised by Play Network Africa in partnership with Phambili Media SA had included Burna Boy to headline the show along side some artiste such as Kwesa, Jidenna, will be performing in view of promoting African Unity in response to recent xenophobia.
The concert which is scheduled to hold at the Hillcrest Quarry in Cape Town on the 23rd of November, 2019 and the second show taking place at Sun Arena, Time Square in Pretoria.
On seeing this the South African Rapper AKA, seems not to be in coherence as he is demanding a full apology from BurnaBoy before he can perform in South Africa, stating that Burna insulted South Africans and must tender an apology.
However, AKA tweets has gotten a load of reactions, as some Nigerians are saying his statement is unacceptable and so unpatriotic, been that the South Africans attacked Nigerians and not the other way round, adding that they wouldn’t support BurnaBoy if he apologises.
