Moments after Chelsea defeated Manchester City 2-1 at the Etihad stadium, Sergio Aguero has come out to tender an apology for the shocking Panenka penalty miss against the Blues after blowing chance to be title hero again.
Alonso’s late goal sealed a 2-1 win for Chelsea over Manchester City.
The hosts took the lead in the first half when Sterling fired past Mendy, but Aguero’s fluffed Panenka penalty was saved by the keeper just before first half break.
Sergio Aguero tried to equal Wayne Rooney's record for most goals for one Premier League club with a Panenka.

Ziyech pulled Chelsea level with his low shot into the bottom corner and the visitors also had three goals ruled out for offside – two for Werner and another for Hudson-Odoi.
Alonso won it in stoppage time though when he drilled his effort over Ederson.
Aguero felt the penalty he missed penalty cost his side an important 3 points as he took to his social media page to tender apology to City fans and teammates.
He wrote on his twitter page saying;
“I would like to apologise to my teammates, staff and supporters for missing the penalty. It was a bad decision and I take full responsibility.”
Easy hermano. Only ourselves to blame today but we go again. Love bro. 💙
