Slavia displayed a good performance during the first half and frustrated Chelsea, who were not at their best, apart from Willian who was argubly the best player on the pitch, the Blues failed to register a goal after 45 minutes.
Willian went the closest to scoring as he hit the crossbar midway through the half, his curling effort beat the Slavia keeper, but just couldn’t sneak into the top corner.
The Blue, however, broke the deadlock 86 minutes on the clock. Alonso was the man with the vital away goal. Willian with a terrific cross into the penalty area and Alonso was completely unmarked and free to head the ball into the bottom corner of the net.
Willian who has been excellent through out the game turn provider for the goal, his cross was perfect for Alonso to run onto and fire past Kolar.

11 minutes later the Gunners doubled their lead through Torreira. On his return to the Arsenal team, Lucas Torreira scored a great goal to make it 2-0.
