I would like to thank all of you for the love you have shown me during these five years. During those years I won my first important trophies with the club. There have been incredible moments that I will always remember. The truth is, I take you in my heart. It is not easy for a player to have so much love and that is why I wanted to tell you today, so that you are the first ones to know after the coach and the club.”
The World Cup winning attacker said, with quotes from SPORT.
With the departure announced, he is expected to make a switch to Barcelona. The 28-year-old was expected to sign for the league champions last summer, but he rejected the opportunity and signed a new contract extension at Atletico Madrid instead.
Barça are rumoured to have put Phillipe Coutinho up for sell to make room for the possible arrival of Antoine.
Manchester United is also amongst the clubs rumoured to be in for the French star.
