Popular On Air Personality, IK Osakioduwa has taken to social media to announced that he will be leaving Rhythm 93.7 after 18 years of service, adding that he will bow out with one final show at the radio station.
The MNET’s Big Brother Africa reality TV host explained that after 18 years of establishing himself as one of the most famous voices on Lagos radio, he will be leaving to focus on his new show “ComedyNites” on Africa Magic.
He commended his boss, Hon. Ben Murray Bruce for always being so supportive, adding that only very few bosses allow their staff work with and earn from other brands.
He wrote on his official twitter page;
“In a few hours I’ll host my final show on @937RhythmFm after working there for 18years. Thank you to @benmurraybruce for always being so supportive. Very few bosses allow their staff work with and earn from other brands the way you let me. You are the absolute BEST”.
He also lauded other staff at the station and the listeners who tuned in to his programmes all through those 18-years and urged them to keep supporting him by tuning in to his new show on Africa Magic.
“Thank you to @937RhythmFm. You guys allowed & helped me grow from a Boy to a BUSINESS. I also have mad love for all my colleagues (past and present). Keep doing amazing work guys. It pays off. Catch you at the top. And to the countless listeners who allowed me just be ME. Whether I was being a ‘Wild Child’, fun guy, serious fellow, reckless flirt or an occasional Nuissance, THANK YOU. I love you guys. I’m not leaving you. And I’m not leaving entertainment. So keep loving & keep supporting”.
He further noted;
“In fact, my new show #ComedyNites is on tonight at 9:30pm on @africamagictv Ch153. Please watch it (Help me to continue selling this market 😁)”.
I.K started his career at Rhythm known as the ‘Wild Child’. He is presently the co-host of the ‘Morning Drive’ with Anita Omalicha and also hosts ‘Dance Party with IK’.
IK Osakioduwa has also hosted a number of television shows including Studio 53, Temptation Nigeria and Big Brother Africa.
