The Port Harcourt Electricity Distribution Plc (PHED), has urged members of the public in its franchise area [Akwa Ibom, Bayelsa, Cross River and Rivers states] to confirm there is no outstanding electricity bill before moving into a new apartment.
According to the Electricity company, this is to help avoid inherited bills.
PHED stated this on its official twitter page on Thursday, adding that intending tenants should ensure they verify either with the Landlord or with PHED that there is no outstanding electricity bill.
The tweet reads;
“Before you move in, please confirm there is no outstanding electricity bill.Avoid Inherited bill.”
