Ghanaian forward and Barcelona’s new star, Kevin Prince Boateng has been welcomed to Barcelona in the most unfortunate way possible.
The striker on loan from Sassoulo got home from making his first full league debut for his new club only to find out his house has been burgled, with the thieves carting away with almost £350,000 worth of valuables — reports from Spain suggests.
The 31 year old striker, who made a shocking move to the Spanish giants with an €8 million future purchase option slapped on him, has had little to be happy about since his move to the catalan club.
He has been less impressive in his two caps for the club. On Saturday, he had a couple of chances to record his first goal for the club but dissapointed with his finishing.
Getting home to figure he has been burgled and robbed off valuables such as jewelries, cash and wrist watches while on the pitch for Barça, will certainly not do his confidence any good.
It will be recalled that in similar fashion, Spanish left back, Jordi Alba was also burgled while he was playing a game for Barcelona last year. while Philippe Coutinho’s house was burgled and his car towed when he was out for a dinner with his family in another ugly welcome party meted out to a Barcelona player in 2018.
The Ghanaian forward who scored five goals in 15 appearances for his former club in Italy– despite suffering several injuries — will be hoping to shake off his current misfortunes and enjoy his stay in Barcelona onwards.
