The National Assembly has witnessed yet another loss, as Senator Rose Okoji Oko dies at the Medical Facility in the United Kingdom on Monday, upon her demise she was the Chairman, Senate Committee on Trade and Investment.
The news of her demise was announced on the Twitter handle of the National Assembly, stating that the President of the Senate, Ahmed Lawan, mourns over the death of Senator Rose Oko, as he is in shock over the news her death.
The Senate President, further stated that the Late Senator Rose will be greatly missed by her distinguish colleagues in the Ninth Assembly, and prayed that God grant her family the fortitude to bear the loss.
He also said, that late Senator Rose was a great asset to the Senate and to Nigerian women in politics and she will be greatly missed by her people and the Government of Cross River state, as he commiserate with them.
Upon her demise Senator Rose Oko represented the Cross River North Senatorial district at the Ninth Assembly. She died on Monday, at Medical facility in the United Kingdom where she was receiving treatment.
Senator Rose Oko will be the third senator to have died since June, 2019, she died at the age of 63 after battling with an illness.
