Nigerian pastor, Chris Oyakhiom, who owns the religious television channel Loveworld has is deep trouble with Ofcom after his channel gets sanctioned for his 5G comments.
According to reports, Ofcom regulatory authority for broadcasting in the United Kingdom imposed a sanction on Loveworld Limited for airing harmful claims about the global pandemic coronavirus.
The sanctions came after Chris Oyskhilome who has himself championed outrageous claims about the coronavirus outbreak, according to a statement released by Ofcom on Monday, May 18, 2020, the claims made by the pastor during a live sermon on that 5G technology was the cause of the pandemic, and that the outbreak was the subject of global cover-up, which had caused a lot of attacks on mobile phone masts.
In the statement they said:
“There is no reputable scientific evidence to corroborate the claim that there is a link between 5G technology and the Coronavirus, which runs contrary to both the International and UK official position, “.
