Two Federal Road Safety Corps Officers of the Anambra sector command, Awka in Anambra State are being reprimanded in custody in connection with the murder of Senior Road Safety Marshall Assistant Emeka Ojie, whose life was cut short on 6th June 2019.
Hitvibz gathered from a reliable source that FRSC Senior Marshall Emeka Ojie a native of Okpanam Delta state was on the verge of filing a corruption report with the FRSC head office in Benin Edo state before his untimely death at the hands of evil corrupt officers.
According to the source who would not be named for reasons of privacy and safety, the report contained detailed information of ongoing corrupt practices within the Onitsha Unit where some members of the corp including the unit commander were named.
Marshall Emeka Ojie, an outstanding and honest officer who was only carrying his duties, refused to exclude damning evidence that could see the accomplice indicted and face an investing panel which could in turn implicate the unit commander.
The commander and his accomplice became involved in a tussle with the deceased in an attempt to take his phone from him and in the process they strangled the deceased.
The latest so far is that the suspects have been arrested and are currently in Police custody at the Onitsha Police area command.
Other media outlets have attempted to reach the Unit’s public relations officer for comments.
