The Rivers state governor Ezenwo Nyesom Wike is taking drastic measures, working tooth and nail, taking further steps to protect the lives of his people as security agencies have sworn to sabotage his efforts.
The governor has been strict with the enforcement of the lockdown in the state inorder to curb the wide spread Covid-19 as the state has recorded 21 cases of the virus.
Both land and air entry into the state has been closed to ensure more carriers of the virus do not gain entry into the state.
“We know the pains we’re currently passing through, but it’s for the greater good. Long live Rivers State. Your survival is our priority,” he said.
You order poor masses who survive on daily pay to lockdown, but you give corporate bodies license to go about their daily activities and flout a Rivers State government order on lockdown. We can’t let them go free, we would not punish the poor and give excuses for the rich.
