According to him, cultism has taken over the streets of Port Harcourt, noting that their slangs are fast becoming regular communication tools.
Olumati stated this on his official Facebook page on Tuesday, adding that the influence of cultism is so strong, its gradually creeping into the content of Nigerian music as more people are quick to defend it, under the covering of “Creativity”.
He wrote on his page;
Cultism in the city of Port Harcourt and with extension to Rivers state is now cultural. Actually, it has become “pop culture”. It is so much pop culture that their slangs are fast becoming regular communication tools. Its influence is so strong, it is making its entry into the content of our music and in the weakness of our humanity, more people are quick to defend it, under the covering of “Creativity”
I am thankful for GOSPEL MUSIC and the very few people, who have stood and still stand for difference. For each time we tolorate and ignore these things, we embolden these rascals.
He further stressed that some Nigerians will act like this doesn’t matter, pointing out that people who drive feel they are safe but failed to realise that they have friends and family who do not drive.
The consultant said noted that he been harrased once and now have new pathways inorder to avoid these cult boys.
People will act like this dosent matter. Worse some will say something about demarketing. An obvious fact even the blind can see? Someone once harrased me for Pointing out warerlines as a red zone. Today? We all have new pathways we follow when we go home or go out to avoid these boys. Some people now take drop by force. Other now have timing, to caluculate when the boys are not there befoee they go out or come in. Some peoole in fear. Someine looks at them for too long the next thing they want to do is run. People who drive feel they are safe, somehow, they forget that they have friends and family who do not drive. Even if you drive, these boys are becoming so bold that one day, they will start stoping cars. One make now need police excorts.
And reactions followed…..
