Champions League Group H meeting between Valencia and Chelsea at the Mestalla Stadium ended 2-2 as Daniel Wass late strike helped his side secure a draw on Wednesday night.
The home team took the lead 40th minute as a cross into the box from Rodrigo dropped perfectly into the middle and Soler made a great run through the penalty area without being picked up and volleys his effort past Kepa, who does get a hand to it, and over the line.

Valencia didn’t even have their lead for a minute as Chelsea went straight on the attack from the restart.
The home side don’t clear their lines and Garay nods it straight to Kovacic, who turns before drilling his shot low into the bottom left corner from outside the box.

50th minute, the Blues took the lead as Zouma climbed highest in the box to get on the end of Kante’s cross and he nods it down to Pulisic in the middle of the box.
But a long VAR checks the decision to disallow Pulisic’s goal as they’re looking to see if he was actually offside.
The replays show that Garay played Pulisic onside and the goal was given.

63rd minute, valencia were awarded a penalty after a very clumsy challenge as both Jorginho and Gaya ran to get on the end of Soler’s throughball.
The referee immediately pointed to the spot and after a VAR check, the decision on the field stood and Daniel Parejo Muñoz took the spot kick but missed as Kepa Arrizabalaga went to the right direction to save the goal.
82 minutes on the clock, out of nowhere Wass tries to whip a cross back into the box, but it ends up in the back of the net instead. Kepa was well beaten as the ball sails over him, off the far post and over the line to make it 2-2.

The draw means that neither side qualifies for the knockout rounds today and it will go down to the final group game in Group H.
The draw suits Chelsea better as they face bottom of the group Lille in two weeks time, while Valencia play Ajax who are also still in with a chance of making it to the last 16.
