Manchester City jubilate after CAS overturned and cancelled UEFA’s two year ban of the club from all European Competition.

The initial statement by UEFA said that Manchester City were guilty “overstating its sponsorship revenue in its accounts and in the break-even information submitted to UEFA between 2012 and 2016.”

A statement from the CAS said City did not overstate their sponsorship contributions but did fail to cooperate with UEFA authorities and would have to pay the fine.

The decision by the Court of Arbitration for Sports to overturn the ban brought joy to the faces of City supporters and sadness to many who hoped to take their spot.

Manchester City clinched their qualification for next season’s Champions League but are in the chase for their First Champions League title with their second leg tie against Real Madrid at the Etihad.
