Cites irreconcilable differences, the hip-hop legend Billionaire and wife call it quits to their two and half decade long marriage.
After two and a half decades of wedded bliss, TMZ confirms Nicole Young the wife of Legendary Hip-Hop artist and producer Dr Dre filed for divorce on Monday in Los Angeles County Superior Court.
The court documents have not been made public yet but TMZ says Nicole Young cited irreconcilable differences as reason for the divorce.
Nicole Young married the rapper and producer whose real name is Andre Romelle Young on May 25, 1996 after divorcing her then husband former L.A. Laker Sedale Threatt,
Dr Dre and Nicole have two children, son Truice, born in 1997, and Truly, born in 2001. They joined Dre’s four children from previous relationships and his late son Andre Young Jr., who died in 2008 at the age of 20.
TMZ also reported that the pair reportedly do not have a pre-nup. In December of last year Forbes magazine listed Dr. Dre on its top ten list of highest paid musicians with an estimated worth of $800 million. The co-founder of beats by Dre and mogul reportedly took in $950 million since 2010, in large part due to his 20% stake in Beats Electronics, which Apple bought for $3 billion in 2014.
Dr. Dre and Young aren’t the only celebrity couple calling it quits in 2020.

In February, Peter Phillips, the eldest grandchild of Queen Elizabeth II, and his wife, Autumn, announced that they were divorcing after 12 years of marriage; and Pamela Anderson and Jon Peters called it quits two weeks after their secret Malibu wedding in January.
