A Twitter user identified as @@CollinsUma shared a post of what happened an eatery in Makurdi were an EFCC officer, Hembafan Toryila ordered the arrest of an eatery owner and its staff and also ordered that the place be locked up due to a wrong transaction which was overlooked.

He stated that, the staff of the eatery was expecting an alert payment of N1,500 but rather an alert payment of N1,600 came in, and they assumed it was for another customer and not that of the officer.

Unfortunately, they kept calling the officer to remind her of their money, when the finally got a statement from the bank showing, that the officer was the person who made the payment of N1,600.
The staff of Star Sharwama called the officer to clarify the mishap and to apologise for what had happened, she got angry and vowed to deal with them.

On Wednesday, the officer, Hembafan took some armed men and some EFCC officers and arrested both the Owner, Mrs. Mnena Ato and her staff, and detained, them at the EFCC office in Markudi.
In the evening of Wednesday the staff of the eatery were later released, around 9:45pm, while the owner of the place was left in detention, as she was accused of fraud.
@CollinsUma stated that Ato has been charged to court over allege fraud, despite pleas made on her behalf for her to be release, all seemed to have fallen on deaf ears.

@collinsUma is of the opinion that the EFCC officer took matters too far and what she did was abuse of power, for just a mistake of N1,600, wondering if the @officialEFCC were now idle.
