While reacting to the comment of Babajide Sanwo-Olu on social media, Wizkid charged the Lagos State governor to join hands to put an end to the menace of SARS.
The governor, who earlier vowed to take immediate action against SARS, wrote on his official Twitter page saying;
“The safety of our residents is my number one duty as the CSO of Lagos. So, reading reports of seemingly unlawful exploitation by the people charged to protect is very worrying & needs to be addressed immediately. Be assured that appropriate actions will be taken, & speedily too.”
The International singer in his reply told the Lagos state Governor to do something about the situation so that Nigerians can also be proud of him.
“Mr Governor! I met with you December 2019! You expressed how proud you are of the entertainment industry and all we do. Pls do something let’s be proud of you too abeg ! #Endsars!!”
Recall that there has been so much outcry in the past days over the harassment of youths, especially by officers of the SARS unit of the Nigeria Police Force.
The reports and stories of brutality has birthed another #EndSARS movement, on social media, with users now alerting each other on sightings of these officers.
