Popular actress, Dame Diana who is best known for playing the character of Olenna Tyrell in Games of Thrones and Emma Peel in The Avengers has died at the age of 82.
According to her daughter, actress Rachael Stirling, who broke the news of her death, said the former bond girl died of cancer, after being diagnosed in March.
“She spent her last months joyfully reflecting on her extraordinary life, full of love, laughter and a deep pride in her profession, “
Diana has starred in so many movies and was the only female character to become Mrs. James Bond in the 007 franchise movie.
She also played the role of Tracy, who married George Lazenby’s 007 in the 1969 film On Her Majesty’s Secret Service.
Dame Diana’s other recent roles included the Duchess of Buccleuch in ITV’s Victoria and Mrs. Pumphrey in Channel 5’s new adaptation of All Creatures Great and Small.
