Bishop Daniel Obinin of the God’s way Church in Ghana has destroyed the white images of Jesus Christ in his Church claiming to the fact that the images are that of an Italian actor and not of the Messiah.
There has always been a long standing argument about what the saviour of the Christian faith looked like during his time on earth a few thousand years ago. With multiple sources and researches both for and against speculating that he was from the middle east and the Bible mentions his Wool like hair. Hollywood thinks otherwise as nearly every movie about the life and death of Jesus has been a Caucasian male playing Jesus.
This subject has been pushed further left recently when a Ghanaian Bishop decided on a drastic change to the imagery of Jesus Christ in his church.
Bishop Daniel Obinin has overtaken the media after he released a video of him destroying the images of Jesus Christ in his Church claiming they were fake and would be better if replaced by his image and statue.
He mentioned that the man in the image cannot be touch nor be felt, therefore since he believes in his call, he will set up his own image to replace it. He made this statement while at one of his Church branch at Team where he said:
“We are not getting the real pictures of Jesus Christ that is how come we keep using this. I destroyed the ones in Kumasi and Accra because this man is an Italian who acted in a movie. You can never get the picture of my father the messiah anywhere. I should make my statue and pictures because I value the gifts he has given to me”

The Question i would like to ask is, does it really matter what Jesus looked and after all it is said in the scriptures that God made us in his own image and likeness.
