The governor had made the disclosure when he expressed displeasure with the refusal of traders to obey government’s directive to stop street trading.
He said their action is inconveniencing road users in the city. The governor spoke during the commissioning of the Rebisi Flyover.
To this end, Wike said he will sign an executive order today (Monday) to discourage the practice.
He said with such executive order in force, any landlord who allows traders to display wares for sales in front on their buildings will forfeit them to government because they will be acquired for public use.
