Harry Kane on Saturday afternoon recorded the 200th goal of his career but wasn’t enough to save Spurs as they suffered a 2-1 defeat to Southampton during their Premier League clash at St. Mary’s Stadium.
He has now scored 164 goals in 249 games for the Premier League side
Spurs dominated proceedings right from the first half with Vertonghen, Alli, Eriksen and England forward, Harry Kane missing couple of chances.
With 26 on the clock, Spurs’ pressure paid off as Alli played a deft dink to Kane on the right side of the box.

The striker takes a touch which nearly sees the angle close on him, but he managed to squeeze it through and find the bottom corner.
Alli’s lofted ball in behind for Kane was well-weighted and carved the Southampton defence open superbly.
76 minutes on, Armstrong gets behind Sanchez and fizzes a low ball across the area that three Tottenham players fail to clear and Valery scuffs the ball over the diving Lloris to level scores 1-1.
5 minutes later, Southampton finds theirself infront.
Spurs have been on top almost throughout the game, but Ward-Prowse’s excellent free-kick inspired an unlikely turnaround.

A wonderful effort, right into the top-left corner and out of the reach of the diving Lloris to give the home side a 2-1 lead.
