Popular singer, Oladapo Oyebanjo, fondly called the ‘D Koko master, D’ banj who was endorsed by Heritage Bank Plc on his 40th birthday as brand ambassador of the bank is speculated to have been suspended following r*ped accusations.

According to speculations on Twitter, the ‘D Kokomaster singer, D’banj has been suspended by Heritage Bank as the bank has dissociates itself from the singer following the recent allegation of r*ped which happened in 2018.


Singer D’ banj who was endorsed on his 40th birthday as brand ambassador is speculated to be have been deprived of his endorsement due to the publicised accusation leveled against him by Miss Seyitan Babatayo, the alleged victim.

Social media has been flooded with the speculation of D’banj’s suspension as some tweeted on the dissociation of Heritage bank from the singer.
The music veteran also faced a lot of accusation on twitter for allegedly having the victim arrested by the Sodipo police command and intimidated in police custody.
Her lawyer (Olamide Omileye of Ojoge, Omileye, and Partners) in a statement said
told the Premium Times newspaper that their client deleted the tweets under duress while in police custody on Tuesday.
According to him, Ms Babatayo was forced to post new tweets claiming that she was not arrested and that she wanted to move on from everything.
“They forced her to make those new tweets when she was in custody. They forced her to delete all her tweets and intimidated the hell out of her life,” he said.
Mr Olamide Omileye also said the issue has escalated beyond his client’s expectation. Stating that:
“The girl has been so traumatised since she was released. She couldn’t believe it. When she was relating what happened to us yesterday, she was crying so much that.
“She said she slept in the same room, on the floor with criminals. She couldn’t believe that she was made to go through that by the Nigerian Police, just because she wanted to tell her own story,” they said.
And that all Miss Seyitan Babatayo, wanted was
“to speak her truth, tell her story so everybody can move on”
