Asisat Oshoala on Saturday made history after scoring in the final of the UEFA Women’s Champions League final.
The 25-year-old forward made her third appearance for the Spanish side in the competition, coming in as substitute in 87th-minute with her side already 4-0 down.
The Dalian Quanjian loanee found the back of the net in the 89th minute but it was not enough to inspire her team’s fight back.
However, the Super Falcons star made some history for herself during the game as she became the first ever Nigerian and African to play in a UEFA Champions League Final game.
She went on to become the first player to score Barcelona’s first UEFA Champions League final goal.
