That dreaded moment you realize you no longer have your phone in your pocket or you cannot remember where you left it or worse you had it stolen is sometimes indescribable. The dissatisfaction and sometimes regret of losing your phone is definitely unbearable.
I can certainly say its as bad as losing a dear pet. The thought of all your information and data in the hands of the wrong person or worse not backed up sometimes just screams GONE FOREVER!
As we are getting ever attached and reliant on our phones for almost everything and with more phones adopting new services like making payment using your phone on things like purchases and bills, losing your phone isn’t going to get any less stressful plus the amount of money you need to cough out for a new phone.
Now, what is the key to avoid these tragedies; It is important to take advantage of the security features offered on your phone devices. Apple’s Find My iPhone (soon to be called just Find My) service is one of the key features to securing and recovering a lost phone.
First things first, make sure you have a passcode and Find My iPhone enabled so you’ll have the best chance at getting your phone back.
- Next, go to your On your iPhone settings and tap on your name at the top of the screen.
- Next, select iCloud and then scroll down and find Find My iPhone. Tap it.
- If both switches are turned to the On position, you’re all set. If not, turn on both options and leave the settings app
