Barcelona has axed their ex goalkeeper, Victor Valdes from his position as the coach of their Under-19 side (Juvile A).
The legendary Barça GK was only appointed as youth coach during the summer with the hope that he will progress into becoming a first team coach in future.
But things turned rather sour in no time between the outspoken ex Man United shot stopper and those at the helm of academy affairs in Barcelona.
Valdes appeared to be against how things were being run at Barcelona;
• He was against the pursuit of Neymar by Barca.
• He was unhappy with the fact that his team could not make use of the new Johan Cruff stadium.
• The club querried him after a player he benched for a match reported him to director, Kluivert.
This invariably led to him being involved in war of words with club director, Patrick Kluivert, whom he told “is not an example for anyone to follow” and should not meddle with his decisions on the pitch according to reports.
The Catalan club’s U-19 side losing their first two UEFA Youth league games to Borussia Dortmund and Inter Milan didn’t do Victor Valdes any good, as the club confirmed termination of his contract.
