Manchester United got beaten in Saturday’s early Premier League kickoff against Bournemouth thanks to Joshua King’s solitary goal.
Manchester United visited Dean Court on the back of an impressive display at Stamford Bridge against Chelsea in midweek’s Caraboa Cup game.
With many expecting the Ole Gunnar Solskjaer led side to build further on the momentum they gained in their last two games, but The Red devils failed to live up to billing.
Norwegian attacker, Joshua King struck on the stroke of half time– capitalizing on United’s defensive lapses– to give Bournemouth a vital win against the unimpressive Man United side.
With just two shots on target from the Red devils against Bournemouth’s six in the windy afternoon game, their only real chance at goal was earlier in the first half when Daniel James’ shot went inches wide off the Cherries’ goal.
The away side also had a penalty shout in the 33rd minute, when Anthony Martial was nudged down in the box, but centre referee waved it off for a corner kick instead.
Second half had the home side looking more likely to double their lead than the away team getting an equalizer, but De Gea put in his best to ensure things didn’t get worse for the Manchester side.
One-nill it ended after 90 minutes, with United recording their fourth loss of the season with 11 games played.
