After undergoing a successful surgery, Barcelona’s Ousmanne Dembele will be missing six months of football action on the sidelines.

Barcelona released an official statement via their official Twitter handle revealing the French forward’s long lay off from action after undergoing successful surgery in Finland.
The Laliga Champions’ number eleven was on his way to recovery from the initial hamstring injury he was nursing last week, before suffering a relapse.
Test results showed that the very injury prone attacker had ruptured the tendons on his right hamstring and needed to go under the knife.
“first team player Ousmane Dembéle has successfully undergone surgery in Turku, Finland where he was operated on by Dr. Lasse Lempainen for a ruptured tendon in his proximal hamstring in his right thigh. The Frenchman will be out for around 6 months.”
The club said on its official website.
Ousmanne Dembele has played 74 games for Barcelona, missing a total of 65 since joining the Catalan giants in 2017.
Here’s a table (as highlighted by ESPN) of his numerous injuries since joining Barça.

The 22-year-old is still yet to feature for the club under the management of Quique Setien, having already lost his spot to fast rising Ansu Fati.
