Italian Seria-A side, Fiorentina has recorded six new Coronavirus cases involving three of their players.
Following the mandatory Covid-19 tests to be carried out by individual clubs– with football trainings resuming across Europe– Fiorentina has reported that six of their members have tested positive.
In an official statement released by the Seria-A side, Fiorentina stated that three players and three members of staff returned positive after first round of tests in the club.

This is what the company reports: “Following the laboratory checks carried out yesterday afternoon, ACF Fiorentina announces that 3 athletes and 3 from the technical-health staff positive to Covid 19 have been identified. The club has proceeded as per protocol to continue isolation of the people involved . – The club statement read.
Also, Turin side, Torino, also declared one of their player positive.
The players will be isolated away from the rest of the squad, while the teams continue to prepare for resumption of football, in accordance with new health guidelines for sport teams.
All 20 teams in the Italian top division voted against cancelling the 2019/2020 football season despite the alarming death rate the country has faced due to the Coronavirus pandemic.
