It has just been uncovered that some members of Barcelona first team players and coaching staff tested positive for Covid-19 per Catalan based outlet, SPORT.
The media outlet revealed that reports from RAC1 showed that five first team players of the Laliga side returned positive for Coronavirus, along with two members of staff after the very first round of test were carried out in May.
However, the affected members of the league topping side– whose identities weren’t revealed– were said to be asymptomatic at the time, and have since recovered from the deadly virus.
Spain remains one of the worst hit countries by Covid-19, in terms of confirmed cases and deaths. The country has over 240 thousand confirmed cases, over 27 thousand deaths and 150 thousand recoveries according to Wikipedia.
Laliga sides have started training together as a group since Monday, and Barcelona are not left out, as they work towards their first match since the virus halted league proceedings.
