A 12-year-old boy has been arrested for racially abusing Crystal Palace and Ivory Coast star, Wilfried Zaha.
Zaha took to his Twitter account to post screenshots of racial slurs he received from an unknown fan on his Instagram account.
The screenshots showed the abuser threatening the explosive midfielder not to score in Crystal Palace’s afternoon EPL match against Aston Villa.

Five hours after the report was made, SkySports reported that West-Midlands Police has apprehended a 12-year-old Aston Villa fan, linked with the Instagram account (@jackdolan_avfc) — which is now private– and the racial abuse.
This latest report of racial abuse came two weeks after the Premier League gave players the permission to report any abuse they receive online.
With quotes from SkySports, this is Premier League’s statement on the issue:
This behaviour is completely unacceptable and the Premier League stands alongside @wilfriedzaha in opposing this, and discrimination in any form. There is #NoRoomForRacism, anywhere.
“We will continue to support players, managers, coaches and their family members who receive serious discriminatory online abuse.
“Through our dedicated reporting system we can take immediate action on cases like this.”
