Chelsea on Saturday opened their 2018/19 campaign with a 3-0 hammering of Huddersfield at the John Smith’s Stadium.
N’Golo Kante broke the deadlock with 34 minutes into the game after Willian cuts inside from the left flank and fires a dangerous cross into the penalty area, where the Frenchman volleyed a slightly scuffed shot that bounces past Hamer and into the far corner.
And then, the Blues doubled the tally after a sequence of 14 passes leading up to the penalty. Jorginho steps up and calmly slot in a “catch it if you can” goal into the back of the net.
Watch the beautiful goal from Chelsea
Moments later, Eden Hazard, who has been linked to a move to Real Madrid, came in as a sub and his immediate impact changed the atmosphere, with a counter leading to the third goal as he poked the ball over to Pedro, who breaks into the box and nonchalantly chips a lovely strike over the onrushing Hamer and into the back of the net.

This is what Pedro and Willian had to say…
So today on “the talking point”, we’ll be looking at the second goal scored by the Blues. Obviously, Chelsea had 14 passes leading up to the penalty, without interception.
And we ask, what do you make of that goal? When last did Chelsea fans see such beauty of a game and do you feel Sarriball is the best style for the Blues?
Don’t forget, Sarri played same style of football at Napoli and ended second best.
Talking about the former Athletic Bilbao man, kepa Arrizabalaga, who made his debut for the Blues, looking so calm and fearless in front of goal, perfect catch for Chelsea? Do you see him going on to become Premier League best?
Buen comienzo en la @premierleague . Feliz por el debut.
