Manchester United manager, Jose Mourinho dropped hints that he doesn’t have the players who are ready to work for the pre-season.

Following an exclusive press conference, Jose Mourinho was asked how he was feeling about the pre-season tour ahead of the game against A.C Milan and he replied saying.

‘’I have a good facility, as always. I have got incredible commitment of the people that are involved in the process of preparing for a good pre-season. I am happy with the matches, the evolution of matches, but I don’t have the players to work. I don’t have majority of the players that are going to be in the squad on the 9th of August, when the market closes and we can make the squad official for the season. Of course am not happy.’’

When asked if any other club are facing the same problem as he is facing going into the start of the season, he said;

‘’If you look at the players Chelsea and Liverpool have going into the pre-season, and Arsenal also, if you compare, you would see the difference between our situation.’’

He further noted;

“Manchester City and Tottenham are in the similar situation as we are.’’

He brought light to the press conference when asked if his squad are up to the task of competing for the title this season and Mourinho replied saying;

‘’I don’t answer your question.’’

United would open up the Premier League season and also their campaign with a game at home to Leicester City and in the build up he clearly stated as quote;

“So of course, against Leicester and Brighton the situation is not amazing for us. We would fight for the points with the players we have available.’’
