The Nigerian, simply identified as Miss Renna – @Mzzrenna who seem engulfed with grief over her ill treatment in China disclosed how other Africans are also being maltreated in China over the coronavirus pandemic.
According to her;
I cried today. Sitting in my room, on bed, many things. As a black girl in China, I have been subjected to a compulsory quarantine, even without no history of travel for the past 12months. I don’t sleep well at night again, not knowing my fate the next day.
Renna, who noted that she has no problem with the compulsory quarantine, expressed her grievances over the racist attack on Africans in China. She disclosed her fears, adding that the Chinese in African countries walk freely but not the Africans in China.
I don’t have a problem going under quarantine or staying indoors for long, but the target on Only black peoples is demeaning. I see racist comments and posts towards black people from China and I have fears. I hope all this will end, my fears too. There are thousands of Chinese in African countries walking/working freely now without being forced like we are doing over here. The Nigerian government isn’t taking more action to this.
The young lady further stressed that no ‘human deserves to be treated this way’ as the hate for Black people in China is quite alarming. She revealed that she is under surveillance and ordered not to go outside.
No human deserves to be treated this way. The pressure is too much. The hate is too much. Black people are really suffering. Students are also not excluded in this case. I hope things gets better soon. China shouldn’t blame Africans. I am under surveillance, directed not to go outside. What did we Africans do to deserve this? Why can’t all chinese people also go under quarantine? I pray I don’t get kicked out after the 14days. By the way, I was forced to be tested.
Renna, who is obviously studying in China said that all she ever wanted is to finish her studies and not to be subjected to a spot like a criminal.
All I ever want and always want is to finish my education. I motivate myself to push on. Now lots of black students are indoors, some their landlords have asked them to move out.
