Gonzalo Higuain has revealed reason why he decided to snub the Blues, saying that Maurizio Sarri was the only person at Chelsea who wanted him to join this summer.
As reported by David Amoyal, Higuain while speaking as he was unveiled as an AC Milan player noted that those behind the scenes at Stamford Bridge were not so keen to bring him to the club.
“Sarri was only one who wanted me at Chelsea, here at Milan everyone wanted me. The motivation and conviction they showed at Milan was fundamental,” the former Juve man said.

AC Milan and Chelsea emerged as the frontrunners to sign the Argentinian striker from Juventus when Cristiano Ronaldo was signed from Real Madrid, but at the age of 30, there were some concerns about a potential move to Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea are known to have a strict policy when it comes to signing players over the age of 30, with concerns over the lack of resale value that the player would hold.
