The Brazilian made a huge blunder twice during their Premier League clash at the Etihad on Wednesday as the Gunners suffered a 3-0 defeat to City.
City took a 1-0 lead into half-time thanks to Sterling’s strike right at the end of the first half, with the England international profiting from David Luiz defending.
It was a deserved advantage for Guardiola’s men, having tested the opposition goalkeeper – Leno five times before Sterling’s breakthrough goal.
De Bruyne doubled the lead for the home side after sending his spot kick towards the bottom-right corner and Leno dives the opposite way.
David Luiz, at fault for City’s first and second goal and also showed a red card for his challenge on Mahrez inside the box to give the host a penalty.
While speaking to Sky Sports shortly after the game, he showed a little remorse to his teammates and Arsenal fans but seems the Brazilian was more worried about his contract at the Emirate than his errors during the game.
“I should have taken a different decision in the last two months. To try and decide my future, to try and decide as early as possible. It was not the team’s fault, it was my fault. The coach is amazing,” David Luiz said.
