The Super Eagles of Nigeria came from behind to hammer the Crocodiles of Lesotho 4-2 during the 2nd match of Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) 2021 qualifier at the Setsoto Stadium In Maseru on Sunday evening.
The Crocodiles were cruising at home as they drew first blood 10 minutes into the game with a good header from the center of the box.
Masoabi Nkoto jumped above his marker – Semi Ajayi – to head home.
28 minutes on, Osimhen charges towards the Lesotho defense, collects the ball and passed to Everton man, Iwobi who slots home to level terms for the Eagles.
8 minutes later, Samuel Chukwueze put Super Eagles in front with a brilliant header and a Zanku celebration thanks to Osimhen with a second assist.
75 minutes on the clock, the Eagles break through as Ola Aina finds Osimhen from the left flank for the striker to score his first goal from open play for Nigeria.
10 minutes later, the Eagles hit on a counter, Azeez finds Osimhen who beats the on rushing goalkeeper with his first touch to double his tally of the game.
90th minute, Lesotho pulled one back through own goal by Awaziem.
