Arsenal on Wednesday night defeated their London rivals on penalty during their International Champions Cup after a 1-1 draw full time at the Aviva stadium. Iwobi was tasked with winning the match for the Gunners – and he does, 6-5 – Arsenal win on penalties.

The Blues took an early lead, just 5 minutes into the game. Rudiger was initially being picked up at the back post but the Germany international eluded his marker with a clever piece of movement, timing his run perfectly to power home a header that left Cech with no chance against his old club.

Fabregas delivered the corner from the right wing, having won the set piece himself by testing Cech with a 20-yard drive as the Spanish midfielder was out to impress, also facing his old club, just like goalkeeper Cech.

14 minutes on the clock the Blues were awarded a penalty after Hudson-Odoi raced onto a pass down the left before driving into the area and drawing a clumsy foul from Bellerin.

Morata stepped forward and delivered a dreadful penalty as he sent a tame spot-kick slightly to the right of Cech, who gets down easily to make a simple stop.

90′ + 3′ Ozil taps the ball to Reiss Nelson who whips it across the 6-yard box to Lacazette. The French striker didn’t know much about it but it bounces off him and goes in to take the game to penalties.

Ruben Loftus-Cheek after a very successful summer, bevame the only player who failed to convert from the spot kick as his penalty was saved by Cech. A tame penalty which Cech dives right to reach, handing Arsenal the win at the Aviva stadium.

A well deserved victory for the Gunners, though Chelsea dominated the game in the first half while Arsenal pegged them back in the second.
