M.iss Favour Okechukwu, an 11 years old girl has lost her life after being gang-r*ped by four men who lured her to a room at Ejigbo, Lagos State.
According to police reports, the little girl was sent on an errand by her mother. She was sent to go buy a popular snack at a nearby shop around 3:00pm. The mother became concerned after her daughter failed to returned home after a considerable amount of time.
SP Olumuyiwa Adejobi of the police division said in a statement:
”When Favor did not return on time, a search party was raised to look for her, till when her father came back from work and himself started looking for the girl. Later information got to them that a girl had been r*ped to death at No.4, Olanrewaju street Ejigbo. On getting there, the body of Favor Okechukwu was found dead in a room that belongs to one Ajom Brimcewil Tabi at No.4, Olanrewaju street, Ejigbo, Lagos. The body was found stark naked with blood flowing out of her private part. ”
When the Father of the victim returned home from work, he went looking for his daughter. He found her unconscious and naked in a room that belonged to one Tobi. Allegedly the perpetrators had lured Favor to the room; then they engaged in marathon s*x with her until she became unconscious and eventually died. The suspects fled the scene abandoning her lifeless body inside the room.
According to the Ejigbo Police Division, the owner of the room has been arrested while other suspects who allegedly committed the act are at large.
Nigerian twitter users have been expressing their frustration, anger and the demand for justice for such as heinous crime.
I learnt that rape and abortion is a norm in that neighborhood that there is a nurse who specialises in helping teenage and underage girls commit abortion in that neighborhood and if you proof stubborn, you will be dealt with.

The only thing that will make me happy is hearing that the beasts have been apprehended. VAPP might not stop rape but it would deter rapists to a large extent. Most importantly it will ensure the beasts are punished & the victim & her family get justice.
