An Aritz Aduriz sensational goal stunned Barcelona in Laliga’s opening fixture as they lost 1-0 to Athletic Bilbao.

Laliga’s opening fixture of the 2019/2020 football season pitched defending champions Barcelona against Athletic Bilbao at the San Mames on Friday night, and it proved to be nothing short off a spectacle with the Blaugrana’s title defence starting on a sour note.
The Catalan giants started the match without injured Lionel Messi, while Philippe Coutinho and Sergio Busquets were also surprisingly left out of the starting line up.

Inaki Williams– who recently signed a 9-year contract extension with the Basque side– had clear chances to put Bilbao ahead in the early stages of the game, but Ter Stegan denied him twice.
In the 32nd minute, Bilbao had a horror moment at the back with defender, Lopez, making a poor back pass which Luis Suarez got hold of. But his resulting shot could only hit the woodwork much to the delight of the home crowd.
The first half ended with Uruguayan striker, Suarez picking up a muscle injury that led to him being substituted for Rafinha– who came and forced Bilbao’s GK to make a great save that kept the game goalless.
Second half started with Valverde bringing on Ivan Rakitic for Aleña.
Barcelona maintained the lion’s share of possession, while debutants Griezmann and De jong continued to have a quiet night.
With the match edging towards a draw, Aritz Aduriz was brought into the game for Inaki Williams in the 88th minute, and seconds later, the 38-year old wowed everyone with a scissors-kick finish to steal three points for Bilbao.
