Liverpool beat Chelsea to maintain 100 percent Premier League record
Jurgen Klopp’s men on Sunday afternoon defeated Frank Lampard’s Chelsea 2-1 at Stamford Bridge to maintain 100 percent Premier League record this season and top of the League table.
Liverpool opened scoring 15 minutes into the game as Trent Alexander-Arnold smashed in the back of the net from a set piece just outside of the box.
He hammered in the opener after Mohamed Salah rolled the ball to him at a free-kick.
30 minutes later, Firmino makes it 2-0 for Liverpool with a brilliant close-range header from Robbo’s assist.
Just minutes after having a goal disallowed for offside, Chelsea found themselves further behind, as Roberto Firmino rises highest on a free-kick to head in.
71 minutes on, Kante arrives on the edge of the area to unleash the ball into the corner to make it 2-1 for the host – a striker’s goal from the little midfield disruptor.
The goal is just too beautiful as the Frenchman weaves his way through the Liverpool defence and strokes it into the top corner from the edge of the box.
