The young man, simply identified as Comrade Wisdom Echefula took to his twitter page to narrate his ordeal on how he almost got duped at a Fidelity Bank, located in Port Harcourt.
According to him, he would have been robbed off, of N10,000 by a man who seemed to be in his Mid-40s, at a Fidelity Bank, if he had not been observant and curious.
He wrote on his page – @Wechefula:
I just came out from a Fidelity bank, in Port Harcourt, and a man in his mid-40s, a Mercedes 450 stopped and begged him for assistance. He said his car was out of fuel and engine oil and he would transfer N10, 000 for me and then I would withdraw and give him.
He further added that;
He did a transfer, I didn’t receive an alert but believed it had entered, he equally showed me his debit alert. I wanted to withdraw something said check your balance and I did only discover nothing entered, on approaching him to complain, he zoomed off.
This is more of an eye opener to all bank users, to be careful and observant, when trying to help out anyone at the bank, for many dubious people are still in the business of duping unsuspecting individuals.
