A man identified as Javyon Mykel George-Boatman, has been nabbed for allegedly having with s*x with an underage girl inside a church.
The German man from Munster, who is said to be well respected in his community, has been charged with having s*x with an underage girl at a Munster church facility.
It was gathered that the minor reportedly told investigators he had s*x with her numerous times at the Family Christian Center.
On April 9, the girl said George Boatman, who was a volunteer youth leader, grabbed her cellphone and ran into a room that was under construction.
George Boatman told the girl if he could kiss her, he’d give her back her phone. The girl told him she was only 14, and he told her it was OK because neither of them was going to tell anyone, court documents said.
On April 12, George Boatman and the girl kissed in a closet under the stairs near a back door and he fondled her.
George-Boatman had asked to have s*x on April 15, the Saturday before Easter, according to the probable cause affidavit.
The girl and George-Boatman had s*x on April 23 and continued having s*x at least 10 times through June 7. The s*xual encounters occurred in different rooms at the church, including a storage room and costume room, records said.
According to report, George Boatman was charged in Lake Superior Court with three counts of s*xual misconduct with the 14-year-old girl.
Two of the charges are punishable by two to 12 years, and the third count is punishable by one to six years.
