Liverpool took an early lead, just 9 minutes into the game. Mane, the goal scorer had a lot of space at the edge of the six-yard box to meet an Alexander-Arnold cross. His header was out of Foster’s reach and it found the back of the net.
11 minutes later, Mane doubled his tally off the night. His first touch took the ball slightly behind him and he turns his back to goal and backheels the ball over Foster’s shoulder and into the empty net.
The Reds dominated the game and stayed on top in the second half as Origi made it 3-0 with some great individual play to create the space for the shot.
