Beauty pageantry has evolved from the norms to a spectacular show, as Nigeria partake in the Most Beautiful Deaf Girl pageant show.
The excitement was unexplainable as 21 years old Miss Maria Okese from Abua-Odual in Rivers State emerged winner of the Most Beautiful Deaf Girl in Nigeria (MBDGN).
The Rivers state born becomes the first most beautiful girl in Nigeria to represent her country in 2020, for the Miss Deaf World in Prague.

The organisers of MBDGN pageant show revealed that the pageantry is a platform not just to showcase beauty and brains but also to canvas inclusion for the deaf in the society at large.
Miss Okese emerged winner among fourteen (14) other contestants across thirteen (13) states in Nigeria. The second and first runner up were Anambra’s Columba Chinazo and Lagos Odedina Rebecca respectively.
Beautiful Maria Okese won the hearts of the judges with her love and objective for the deaf.
