So hitvibz had a little timeout with the finest Nigerian female rap Queen Avalanche as she set to drop a new jam titled “Facts”.
The Anambra born diva shared a lot on how she feels about her new song “Facts” featuring one of Port Harcourt fastest growing rappers and “Who Goes Der” crooner, Dandizzy and she dished out to fans something to expect while waiting for the song to drop on Friday.
Below is an exclusive interview she had with Hitvibz;
Its nice for you to have a little timeout with hitvibz
Thank you for having me
Could you give us a little detail about yourself, and which part of the country are you from?
I’m from Anambra state but i was born and raised in Port Harcourt city. literally lived all my life in PH before moving to Abuja just barely two years ago. Port Harcourt shaped me into who i am now and it’ll always have a place in my heart.
Before we talk about your new song, could you tell us how the journey has been so far as an artist?
My journey so far has been exciting, sometimes dull and sometimes it feels like things are moving slow but it’s part of the process and also part of the journey, but my music has evolved since i started and that’s just the tip of the iceberg.
Who or what inspired you to go into rap music?
Music has always been a part of my life, initially i just wanted to be a pop/rnb artist but after listening to Nicki Minaj, Lil Kim, Foxy Brown, Missy Elliot, their style, their delivery, everything changed, so yea i would say these women inspired me to go into rap.
So what’s your new song all about?
My new song titled “Facts” is basically me saying i’m the female hip hop master, y’all the congregation and i’m the pastor, any other artist ya listening to don’t do it like me and that’s facts. period! [laughs].
What inspired you to write this song?
The inspiration for the song is just to let people know females in the rap industry go hard as well and y’all sleeping on em, so that’s just a quick reminder.
What made you decide to work with Dandizzy on this one?
I decided to work with Dandizzy because i wanted something different on the song and i wanted PH blood on it too.
Did you ever face any challenge while working with Dandizzy on this track?
No, he was very supportive and loved the song immediately he heard it, but while recording his verse he kept loosing his voice [laughs]… you know he puts in energy performing on stage
Is he the biggest artist you’ve ever worked with?
No i have a mixtape on the way and some unreleased songs so stay tuned to find out the names of your favorite rappers on it, you never can tell maybe an american rapper and big shout out to dandizzy for being on my song, he a real one.
How does it feel to work with him?
He’s cool, gave me some advice on being an upcoming artist and things that helped him, basically just that it’s all hard work all the time.
What’s your biggest fear as a female rap artist in Nigeria?
As of now, i don’t have any fears, the goal is to keep pushing till everyone knows who i am and my music .
How do you feel as you are set to drop this new song???
I’m excited cause i really love this song and want people to feel the vibes as i did.
What should fans expect?
They should expect steady fire cause that’s all i have to give, nothing less but everything more.
So far so good, which of your song is fans’ favourite?
My last single “Geti”, a lot of people really loved it and vibed to it more than the last ones.
Who’s your favorite musician?
I legit don’t have a favorite musician, to be honest, i vibe to almost everyone’s music
Any message for your fans?
So far, y’all have been super supportive and i thank you so much, keep on streaming, sharing and downloading my music and getting it out there. so much joy stuff to come.
Thank you for your time
Thank you too
