In a recent social media post, the Presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, Atiku Abubakar, has raised questions about the educational background claims of Ahmed Bola Tinubu, sparking a wave of reactions from Nigerians.
Atiku took to his verified X (formerly Twitter) account to express his bewilderment at Tinubu’s evolving educational narrative.
The controversy stems from Tinubu’s past declaration that he attended St. John’s Primary School in Aroloya, Lagos, followed by Children’s Home School in Ibadan, Oyo State, during the year 1999.
He then listed Government College Ibadan, Richard Daley College, and Chicago State University in the United States as subsequent stops on his educational journey.
However, in a twist that has left many scratching their heads, Tinubu now asserts that he solely attended Chicago State University.
Atiku’s skepticism is shared by many well-meaning Nigerians who find it puzzling that Tinubu claims to possess a university degree despite his earlier accounts of no primary and secondary education.
The former Vice President urges Nigerians to question this discrepancy and encourages them to use the hashtag #AskTinubu to seek clarification about how he accomplished this feat.
In response to Atiku’s remarks, Miss Pearls expressed her astonishment at the situation. She criticized the defense of Tinubu’s claims by some scholars and learned individuals, labeling Tinubu’s narrative a “fraud.”
The most anonymous and confused entity ever; Meanwhile, professors and so called learned fellows are defending the fraud.

As the controversy deepens, Nigerians remain attentive to the developments surrounding this educational background puzzle.
The case has ignited discussions about transparency and accountability among public figures, highlighting the importance of clear and consistent narratives in a leader’s journey.
The outcome of this situation could potentially impact not only Tinubu’s reputation but also broader conversations about integrity and honesty in the political sphere.
