The Nigeria police have made claims of not shooting at protesters who were protesting over the death of Remo Stars Football club assistant Captain, Tiamiyu Kazeem, who was allegedly assaulted by operatives of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad in Sagamu.
In a 2 minutes video shared on social media, by a man identified as @Morris_Monye which he captioned ‘Hear the Nigerian Police SWIFT response at Sagamu’.
The video shows men of the Police stating that they never fired a single bullet at anyone rather the shots were fired by cults boys who shot at each other and they accused social media influencers for spreading fake news of police shooting at protesters.

Also a Youth leader in the video also spoke against the news that says police shot at protesters, stating that the protesters were the ones vandalising government property which were erected with tax layers money and order needs to be restored as Nigeria isn’t banana republic.
After the video of the police denying shooting at anyone at Sagamu surfaced online, Nigerians have taken to social media platforms with a lot of backlash at the Men of the Nigeria Police – stating that they need not lie about what they did but rather accept the consequences of their action.
A Twitter user identify as @Dam_dam9 shared a viral video of were Men of the Police force shot at protesters as they ran for their lives and people have come out to condemn such action from the Police.
