The Toffees secured the services of the Nigerian forward on deadline day after they agreed a reported fee of 40m pounds with the Gunners.
Iwobi signed a five year deal with the club, making it the seventh signing of what was a busy transfer window for Everton.
Moments after Everton confirmed the deal, Nwakwo Kanu took to his social media account to express his feeling towards the the 23-year-old’s move.
The former Arsenal star, Kanu Nwankwo, who made over 100 appearances for Arsenal scoring 37 goals, expressed his delight over Iwobi’s move to the Toffees
He wrote on his Twitter page – @papilokanu saying:
“Once a Gunner, Always a Gunner. We are proud of you @alexanderiwobi and will continue to support you. Good luck with your new club.”
